These Are a Few of My Favorite (Feelings)

I snuggled down into bed last night and thought about how much I love that feeling–the first moment of complete relaxation at the end of a busy day.  As I thought about it, I began to think of other feelings that I love.  I love the feeling of accomplishment when I finish a book and record it in my reading journal.  I adore the few times during the school year when I have everything graded and recorded on the computer program we use for keeping grades.  I like walking Margie over wet grass on foggy damp mornings when I don’t have anywhere to be.  I love the first taste of just-the-right-temperature tea on a cold morning.  I like the feel of my fuzzy socks on my feet at the end of the day and putting on a pair of comfy pajamas.  It is wonderful to put away the last piece of clean laundry when  the clothes I am wearing are the only dirty ones in the house, and I love closing an empty dish washer.  I like to run my tongue over my just-brushed teeth.  It is very gratifying to make the first dip into a new jar of peanut butter.  I love it when I manage to dip an Oreo in milk for just the perfect period of time so that it is perfectly soft, but not soggy.  I love laying down on a warm towel after getting out of a cold pool.  It is fun to feel the pop of  bubble wrap between my fingers.  I love using a new and properly pointy sharpie.  I adore the smell of gas-oil mix exhaust–like from a leaf blower. (I realize this is a little strange.)  I love the way I feel when all of my family is chatting happily around one big table.  That all I can think of for now.  What feelings do you love?

I love Saturday mornings when I don’t have anywhere I have to go. I love the very first sip of my just brewed coffee in the morning. I love my sofa where I sit in the morning.I love seeing daffodils popping up through the cold dark soil. I love the sound of wind whipping through trees. I love when my animals greet me when I come home. I love in the morning when Petals stretches and waits for me to rub her hiney which is the sticking up in the air. I love when my friends post new blog posts!
